PROGRESSIVE RIDER DEVELOPMENT
BEGINNER BMX SESSIONS
Every rider started out as a novice and our beginner sessions are perfect for new riders looking for guidance to get started in BMX racing.
Whether you've just learned to ride or have experience in other forms of cycling and want to try BMX, these sessions are the place to start.
Our experienced coaches provide a structured and safe environment for you to develop your skills and confidence. You'll learn a mixture of basic BMX riding skills on the flat before progressing on to the track when you're ready.
If you don't have a BMX bike that's no barrier to attending a novice coaching session. Many first time riders start out with a mountain bike or park bike.
Please ensure you wear a long sleeve top, long trousers, gloves and a helmet. To ride the track you will need a full face helmet (we have some you can borrow).
GETTING YOU READY TO RACE
So you're feeling confident on the track and you want to try your first club race? You've come to the right place!
Our intermediate coaching sessions are the next step in your BMX racing journey. They are designed to help improve your skills in more race focussed training sessions.
Riders who have enjoyed training with their friends and are looking to try club racing will benefit the most.
Our coaches combine progressive skills coaching with race craft in fun filled group sessions.
The intermediate sessions are more physically demanding and begin to introduce the fundamental BMX skills of gate starts, cornering, jumps and manuals.
Riders will begin to develop their sprinting power, efficiency, leg speed and endurance. Graduates of the intermediate group are well positioned to progress to our expert sessions and train for regional racing in a season or two.
