STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOR
RIDER CODE OF CONDUCT
CONSTITUTION
By accepting the terms of membership a rider agrees to be bound by the terms of the following code.
1. Arriving for training and competitions in good time
2. Wearing suitable equipment as a minimum; full face helmet, long sleeve top, trousers and full finger gloves
3. Warming up and cooling down properly to avoid injury
4. Training/competing within the regulations and respecting the officials and their decisions
5. Being a good sportsperson, applauding good performances and treating all participants in the sport, as I would like to be treated myself
6. Not deliberately distracting or provoking an opponent
7. Controlling my temper and using correct and proper language
8. Respecting the right, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of age, gender, ability, religion, or cultural background
9. Prompt payment of any due fees
10. Co-operating with coaches, officials, club mates and opponents
11. Thanking officials and opponents after competition
The following may result in a warning and possible exclusion from club activities:
1. Smoking by junior members on Club premises or while representing the Club
2. Verbal abuse of any rider or official
3. Foul, offensive or inappropriate language
4. Deliberate undermining of coaches or club leaders/administrators
5. Bullying
Physical abuse of any rider or official will not be tolerated and will result in immediate suspension from the club

BMX racing started out as kids sport in the 70s was massively popular in the UK in the 80s. The sport continued to develop the through the 90s.
